Dr. Mohsin Malik graduated from Brown University with a bachelor of science degree in Neuroscience, and received his medical degree from Brown Medical School. He completed his dermatology residency and was appointed chief resident at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He is a board-certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He was awarded a research fellowship for the study of blistering diseases, which was conducted at Harvard and at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
He has authored several book chapters and published extensively including research on blistering and other autoimmune disorders. He co-directed a study to develop a measure of skin self-exams accuracy and the use of mole-mapping diagrams to increase the accuracy of skin self-exams. Dr. Malik has written about various cutaneous malignancies and has created 3-D computer modeling to aid in the research of neurological disorders. He has presented his research and clinical studies at the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and Society for Investigative Dermatology.
